The Motor

When downtime can cost you money having the right motor is critical. The NWCI Typhoon is spec'd in two configurations; a hydraulically driven motor that can spin the basket at upwards of 5000 RPM with 8 gpm flow rate and a 1.5 horsepower electric motor that can push close to 5 gpm at 4000 RPM. The Hub & Injector Tubes

The key to misting liquids that have large concentrations of dissolved solids and suspended solids is to not create any small orifices that the liquid has to go through. Unlike fixed nozzle systems the Typhoon feeder tubes and 1st stage hub will not clog and can even pass upwards of 15% Solids.. In other words less maintenance and higher uptime.

In a two stage system the basket is placed over the hub. The 3/8" holes in the hub evenly distribute the liquid

Injector Tubes

Liquid is injected into the hub via the 4 feeder tubes running down the sides of the shaft and motor and are too large to be clogged.

The Basket

The misting basket is the key to a uniform droplet size. It produces a very narrow range of droplet sizes at a specfic RPM. Therefore we can calculate exactly how far a droplet will drift at a given windspeed. Our Smart Panel constantly adjusts the droplet size to maximize surface area and minimizing Drift

Locking Nut

Baskets come in fine or coarse sizes which impact overall starting droplet size and the maximum flow that can pass through the head without flooding it

Fine/Coarse Mesh

Locking nut holds the basket securely to the hub and is easily removed to switch swap them for routine cleaning or maintenance
